Considerations for I&T Research and Development Industry Land Use in Hong Kong

According to the current zoning plan design in Hong Kong, each "land use" such as industrial use will be selected from the "General List of Annotations" according to the regional location.
The Innovation and Technology Park and the Science Park are currently regulated by the land use name of "other specified uses" with the annotation "research and development, education and cultural and creative industries".
Under this land use, there are different sub-uses, and the general use name that is closest to the scientific research industry is "research institute, design and development center". Perhaps because of its cross-industry characteristics, it is difficult to be defined as a single use.
